We believe a Scrabble board is one of the most powerful classrooms in Ghana — fun enough to keep students hooked, rigorous enough to grow real cognitive skills.
ScrabbleTon GH started the way most beautiful things do — a few friends, a couple of Scrabble boards, and a question: "What if we made learning feel like a Saturday game day?"
What began as casual matches between students grew into The Annual Scrabble Municipal Schools Competition, now in its second edition, hosted at the GoldFields Foundation Hall in Tarkwa and powered by a coalition of partners who believe in young Ghanaian minds.
Today we exist to give every student in our community a chance to think bigger — through reading, vocabulary, strategy and friendly competition.
Reignite students' love for education through the joy and discipline of Scrabble — building vocabulary, critical thinking and confidence.
A Ghana where every junior high student has a club, a coach and a chance to compete — using games as the gateway to lifelong learning.
Free participation for schools, accessible venues, and inclusive rules so every learner can show up and shine.
Tournament play teaches preparation, focus and resilience — habits that travel far beyond the board.
ScrabbleTon GH is volunteer-led. We are coaches, teachers, professionals, parents and former competitors — united by a single belief that learning should be joyful.
